One Of Us Is Lying (EPILOGUE)
Epilogue: Three months later
Bronwyn
Bronwyn has been dating Evan, a typical boy, for three months. She does not feel drawn to him and is having an unenthusiastic relationship. She had thought this would help her get Nate off her mind but it actually made matters worse. She does not feel like there is a need for her to go to Yale and if anything will get better after going, but she is not trying to deny her past and dedicated to becoming a better person.
Bronwyn is on her way to a piano recital and as she walks out the door, she realizes she forgot to invite Evan but is unfazed by this realization. Cooper, Kris, and Addy are coming to watch and she is a little nervous to perform in front of such a big crowd. In front of a capacity crowd, her heels click loudly on the floor as she makes her way to the piano under the spotlight, not as nervous as she thought she would be. She starts playing and every not flows, she pours every ounce of emotion from the past few months and the song receives loud applause feeling the crowds approval. Eli and Ashton had come to watch as well and are an official couple. The family walks out of the hall and waits on the sidewalk for their father to bring the car. Nate comes riding on his motorcycle to Bronwyn.
Bronwyn greets Nate trying to stay cool, not wanting to give him the satisfaction after a miserable three months caused by him. They catch up on each other's lives since Nate ignored her for three months. Nate confesses that he was wrong, and it was wrong of him to shut Bronwyn down like that. He was too scared and nervous to ruin Bronwyn's life, nor for Bronwyn to ruin his life because trust and good relationships were not a common thing in Nate's past. Now that he's aware of his mistakes, he is asking Bronwyn out to a movie and the smile Bronwyn had been smiling burst out and she can't stop.
Thoughts
I honestly feel kind of bad for Simon for all the devising and planing he did for his own death that it did not turn into what the had expected. I did not think that things would ever go back to "normal" for the four of them so I thought it would be better for them to embrace that. It did not turn out like that and Bronwyn dating another guy partly as a distraction, personally did not make me happy. After all that happened, she probably has learned a few things about relationships and what was right for her, as much as the relationship with Nate was out of her control, I feel like she could've made better decisions that dating Evan.
However, in the end, the two got together in a rather satisfactory way because I could tell that that was the right thing to do for both of them. Bronwyn had been charging her secret phone for three months "just in case", and the regrets Nate had was obvious and I respected it. I was also really glad to hear that the "murder four" was still in touch because I do not think anything will be able to break their bond after what they have been through together even though they were strangers only until a few months ago.
